Medal Count retired to Spendthrift

I guess they are hoping lightning strikes twice with another son of Dynaformer. This guy has a nice pedigree, but I think Temple City's is better.
I always thought Medal Count was a good-looking horse with some serious talent, but a bit of an underachiever. Best of luck to him.

I agree - Temple City's dam is a half to Malibu Moon and that's a big selling point IMO.

However, its good to see another son of Dynaformer at stud. I loved that old boy.

I wonder why Medal Count was retired without racing again, though. Was he not working well? Or was he not working at all?

He had 2 unplaced efforts this year in an allowance/optional claiming race (5th) and the G2 Firecracker (7th).
May have just run his course, there is no mention of an injury.

I do like another Dynaformer at stud.
I also have high hopes for Danish Dynaformer in Ontario - he is out of a daughter of Hollywood Wildcat.
