Any thoughts on Mr. Sidney breeding a mineshift mare??
I also like Revolutionary... Any general thoughts ?? looking for NY bred to race
Do the best by the horse and hope for the best.

You say your goal is breeding a NY Bred to race....knowing that 8 of 9 unproven stallions disappoint/fail, I would recommend using a proven sire of winners.
A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.

You can find in-foal mares with good racing pedigrees that are less expensive than a year of mare care + mare purchase price + stud fee at some of the sales, or privately.

This mare sold for $10k:

Jump Start stands for a $10k fee, you don't pay for the full year of mare care, and you get a still young stakes-winning mare with two winners out of 3 to race at the time of the catalogue.
