Caro is bestknown in Germany, because he is the Sire of Nebos (Caro-Nostrana by Botticelli), bred in by the Countess M. Batthyany in 1966 an liv8ing until June 1999. He was a very good racehorse with 18 stars, 12 wins, 4 seconds, 1 third and was a unlucky 5thplaced in the "Arc" of 1980. He was Champion Sire and Broodmare Sire in Germany. Nebos was the Sire of 2 German Derbywinners (Laroche, Lebos) and several other Group winners, see Pinot, Prairie Neba, Antic Boy, Arctic Boy, Kent, Daydream etc. Meanwhile he is to find in the damlines of Novellist (Monsun) - Narola (Nebos),
Iquitos (Adlerflug) - Ingrid (Nebos) and Axxos (Monsun) -Aragosta (Nebos), just to name a few.

Then I remembered Musketier, a Sire with a German damline. Surprise, surprise his dam is bred
2x4 Caro. I reread the thread about him from sometime ago, according the info he stands/stood at Calumet in Kentucky. If you're lucky, he still stands at the same stud.

Thank you! Great info. Was really hoping to find something inbred to Caro. Sort of expected to see more crosses of some of the lines that that carry him, but Muskatier's dam is the only thing I've seen. Appreciate that perspective Bettina.
