Stallion Season Auctions?

Postby Joltman » Mon Jan 15, 2018 5:25 pm

Greetings

There are several good stallion season auctions going on - Thoroughlybred and Starquine. Anybody jumping in?

I completely missed the TCA and earlier offerings, but TCA offers great deals on the mid priced and lower stud fees. Gotta pick up a broodmare, it's that time of year...

Joltman:

I agree. We picked up a couple last year and another this year. All for less than half of the advertised LFSN fees. If you have a healthy young mare and/or if you may want to sell the mare before foaling, the NG season auctions are a good option. But, it's hard to find a season to a popular first-year sire at the auctions.
