Roaring Lion colicked shortly after arrival last week at Cambridge Stud in NZ. He was operated on almost immediately for a small intestine twist.
He had another surgery yesterday to loosen some adhesions from the first surgery.
It's looking really, really bad.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.
Re: Roaring Lion
Yes there was some dead sections of intestines they had to remove.
I don't know that he will survive and if he does how they will ever get him back to Europe.

A lot will depend on the next 2 months.
I expect there will be a lot of meetings between various owners, shareholders, and insurance company reps in that time.

Per the Cambridge Stud twitter page, Roaring Lion has had 25% of his small intestine removed.
Good god.

Out of the hospital and back to Cambridge Stud.
He's one lucky bugger, that's for sure.

Re: Roaring Lion
Sad and disappointing but also unsurprising. Whatever was going on must have been bad for the vets to only ultrasound him and decide to euth then and there.
