Say bye to Ironicus?

I have to admit I did not pay much attention to him. Evidently breeders did not either. Gone to Uruguay.

His owner said to him, "You go Uruguay, I'll go mine."

Considering his claim to fame was a starter in the derby (Helium) it's not surprising.

They don't seem to have a lot of success with their own or the Janney's colts they add to the roster. I still look back and wonder what else could have been if the Phipps had sought outside bloodlines years ago instead of breeding every Mr. P to Danzig. I thought when they retired Relaxing and were sending her to Alydar and Seattle Slew they would have continued doing that but it seems every good filly they had after that either went to Mr. P, Danzig (or his son Kingmambo) or Slew/AP Indy. You see some of their bloodlines popping up but it's multiple generations removed. Those who have purchased them have benefitted. Super Saver is one of those.
