if anyone has read the buying selling area youll know we purchased Slew of Memories from a Trainer of the canter site. do you think this colt has enough pedigree to have a go as a race horse sire? just curious for opinions? for learning sake!

The only way a stallion that isn't a stakes winner with a six figure income could attract any mares is if he is by Storm Cat, Forty Niner, AP Indy, Unbridled, etc. You get the picture. Geld him and turn him into a nice riding horse.

Brooke, he would have very limited commercial appeal at best. But if you have some quality mares to support him with, he might be a useful private sire.

I think he could make a nice regional stallion. He doesnt have the commerical appeal but if he produces some nice runners, who can forecast what the future will hold.

To Brooke: The only way to find out if Slew of Memories will be a successful stallion, is to breed a few mares to him and see what happens.

If Slew of Memories offspring show some talent, then you will feel good about giving him a chance.

I hope Slew of Memories makes a fine stallion, go for it. Yours in Sport Louis.
