hi all if anyone is interested, I moved my Chief's Crown stallion (who by the way has this influential family of Miss Carmie and Chris Evert twice...through his sire and his damline.(over 40 graded stakes winners in his female family)...anyway if anyone is interested he will be standing for the rest of the year (reg as a PA stallion) at Windspiritsfarm in Knox PA. their website is
www.windspiritsfarm.com
I will be standing him for a nominal fee of $500 and he will be free to approved mares. This move is the best thing for him and my mares, as the breeders incentives are far better in PA.
You can call me or email me for more information and pictures. He is 16 1/2 hh with a stick, and he is a very correct and beautiful individual with a great tempermant to boot!
thanks!

Hi Stacy,
Please try breeding him to at least one mare with Alydar close up.
I really like that 4x4 to the wonderful Miss Carmie and I have a theory about her and Alydar's dam Sweet Tooth. Take a look at the hypo between them (I love all that Calumet Blood) and then look at the two Major Multiple GI Winners who cross Chief's Crown and Alydar, namely Excellent Meeting and Grandera, to see what I'm getting at.
Actually, a mare herself inbred to Alydar might be even better if you could actaully find one. The one problem with an Alydar inbred mare would be a possible excess of stamina given that the stallion raced so many times (60+ starts).; but the theory behind it would be very strong and it could be well advised if the mare looks pretty good and matches up well in conformation.
In Reality is another very important strain for this stallion on account of both the sire (Chief's Crown) and damsire (Fappiano) having success when crossed with the son of Intentionally and My Dear Girl. An example of the Chief's Crown/In Reality cross of course is Concerto himself and an example of the Fappiano/In Reality cross is Fappy's best son Unbridled.

thanks for the response!
what about the mare Love Bench by Benchmark? I didn't want to breed her this year as she is only three so she is leased out..but it is not working out for the girl who has her.

Hi Stacy,
Love Bench looks to be a very good match-up with Georgia Crown.
I like how the hypo is 3x4 to Danzig through the Multiple GIW Champion and Excellent sire Chief's Crown and a Multiple Graded Stakes Placed and GIW Producing Mare named Winter's Love, who is the dam of the famous Traquility Lake and the G2W Benchmark.
A potential problem with Danzig inbreeding might be soundness issues, but since the sources are pretty good quality and the stallion started about 62 times I wouldn't consider that a negative in this specific situation.
It's also very interesting how the dam of the mare combines a good nick with Miss Carmie in Caro (see Winning Colors and Bellamy Road) with a good nick for Danzig in Noholme (see the Champion Mare and GI Producing Broodmare Dance Smartly, the Multiple GI Winner Private Steer, and the additional GIWs Amonita, Bedouin, and Danelagh).
Also the dam of Love Bench's damsire General Holme is General's Sister, who is a 3/4 sister to none other than Flight Bird, a mare crossed 4x2 with Chief's Crown in the Probable Derby Favorite and Wood Memorial Recod Equaler Bellamy Road.
Add all this to the previously discussed Chief's Crown/Alydar nick and you have an excellent match-up.

SStacy...Very interesting pedigree on your boy! Looks like the dam and second dam were both pretty substantial producers, and the sire and dam tracing tail female to Miss Carmie close up is very intriguing. Just wanted to point out the 3rd dam, All Rainbows, was the dam of Winning Colors, the Kentucky Derby winning 3YO champion filly (this was already touched on in another post) making the 2nd dam WC's half-sib.
I'm curious why he has no produce record. Has he not been bred to TBs or just no foals old enough to be registered yet? He sure looks like a good gamble for a sire on paper.
