Stallion Brochure?

Postby Slew83 » Mon May 16, 2005 9:19 pm

Any fans ever ask stallion farms for brochures before?

I did when I was 15, mostly because I lived in BC and hardly had ANY access to Kentucky. I treasured those brochures like they were made of gold.
I still have a lot of them, especially the one's with Seattle Slew in them.
I also got a piece of Hansel's tail from Gainsborough, which was cool because I really liked him! I never even asked for it, so I thought it was extremely nice of them. Still have that too

I've visited most of the big farms around Lexington and good PR is very important to them. I think they'd probably be happy to send you a brochure (and put you on their mailing list) if you asked.

Hi LSB,

Good point - they are sales companies first and foremost.

Most farms have a sales packet that they'll send you and in some cases they have videos that they'll send if you ask. Keep in mind that specialty videos are costly, so ask for them occassionally.

The large farms often have lovely stallion catalogs that are beautifully made. Some have CDs. You only know what they offer if you ask.
