Sires that give speed?

I don't mean just chef-de-races; I mean any stallion. What stallions are known for being successful at siring early speed and sprinters?

This is just a research question as I don't own any mares to breed, but I am curious about what lines/studs are know for siring horses that have a lot of speed and sprinting ability at a mile or less.

Thanks for any help!

Phone Trick is very good for that sort of thing (you'd actually expect his AEI/CI to be better with the half-handful of big earners he's gotten [Caller One, Favorite Trick, and Phone Chatter]), but his figures aren't helped any by sprint races having smaller purses in general.

For precocious speed, I'd look at Cherokee Run, Smoke Glacken, and Carson City (now deceased, but I'd keep an eye on his sons.)

Try sons of Valid Appeal, Dixieland Band, Inreality, Forty Niner, Mr P, Gone West and Storm Cat.

And I am going to jump in here and say the new stallion I just acquired - Umrigar, who is by Rahy out of Jabot

Everything that I have seen indicates that he does produce babies with early speed.

Am I correct in that pronouncement?

Valid Expectations is a good sire of speed in the last few years.

I am interested to see what is going to happen with the offspring of City Street. Track record type speed at Keeneland and Churchill. Standing down here in Texas.
