What a Song a son of Songandaprayer won today at Hollywood. He sold for $1.9 million at the Barretts 2 year sale to the Lewises.

Any speculation about Songandaprayer's 2006 stud fee?

Think he'll go up from $10,000, or will it take a little more than this?

hi ZiaLand

Certainly it will take more than this.

That being said...I expect some good things will happen...his stud fee will go up (possibly dramatically) and he might move up the road to Lexington.

Let's see how it continues to unfold.

This is not the only "Songandaprayer" that sold large.

I saw the sale that Bob and Beverly Lewis purchased this one.
I thought they were nuts.. But,,, What do I know??

Really looks like a good one. Just hope it is strong enough to stay healthy.

I would love to see the Lewis' go out with a great one. They have given so much to not just racing, and breeding, but for the children in need. They are 2 of the best people in the business.
Can anyone forget the Adjusted Hot Air Baloon for crippled children named Sarena's ? They still keep her as a broodmare. (Serena's Song)
I just think these people deserve to get more back than what Going Wild gave them this year. What a disappointment. God Bless them.
I am Esky on other Horse racing message boards...I am quite a bit older than most, but still stick with the horses...Esky

I'm with FOS, it will take a lot more than this for Songandaprayer's stud fee to rise, though I could easily see it happening. His offspring look to be precocious and athletic and he's currently standing in the #2 spot on the First Crop Sire List. Of all the offspring of new stallions I looked at at the 2YO sales, I thought the ones by Songandaprayer were the most impressive.

I can't believe you are blaming Going Wild for this year! He has been so mismanaged.
