Has anyone seen what he has produced ( are they correct and good looking) or saw him in person at the farm? What do you think of him as a Stallion?

Des,

I have a Texas weanling that i just sold off the farm. IF you would like to see some pics of him I would be happy to share. I love this colt;) My mare is bred back again to him for a 2006 full sibling.

I have seen meny Texas glitter babies. Are they correct and good looking? Mine is very correct and very good looking. I have seen some small and look like bulldogs and some with some leg and look like bulldogs. Texas has a huge chest. Very QH type. Mine baby happend to get the legs and Qh combo;)

Thanks so much Des :) This colt has really sucked me in. lol The plans for him is to race. I only went into partnerships with him. I just could not let him go 8)

The next one that this mare has. I Hope to race this one as well;) Good luck with your mare. Texas is great in the shed and the guys over there are very good. My mare is 17.2 so when texas 1st saw her he was like sweet jesus you want me to do what. HAHHA But the ditch was dug and he had a grand time. :P

Good luck

hi serenarider

Knowing now (as you wrote) that your mare is 17-2HH...has answered a question for me.

In the flesh...my first impression of Texas Glitter was that he was a neat...compact and strong horse...with a neck that might be a tad shorter than some breeders might like to see. He might measure 16HH (certainly if he hasn't been trimmed for 3 weeks at the time they put a stick to him [said tongue-in-cheek]). Regardless...he did not impress me as a tall horse. You might agree...he doesn't exude the look of the type that most might refer to as the classic-horse.

I suggest he has more the look (and make-up) of a sprinter-type. I would expect that those with a pinhooker's-eye would like Texas Glitter plenty...and in general that's what I would expect he might get...unless a taller and scopier type of mare was presented to him. It sounds like your 17-2HH mare might have been the perfect fit...and I hope the result is that you got your Derby-horse.

I expect that if a two-turn horse is what a breeder might be aiming for...a relatively tall mare with plenty of scope might be the perfect kind for this neat and powerful guy called Texas Glitter...he certainly has plenty of body and bone to offer.

Regardless...sounds like your mare produced a good one for you.

Best of luck with your colt.

Respectfully

Hi fos,
lol sorry it took me mths to see this post from you :?
yes i agree with you about texas all the way. I had to laugh about your comment about his trimming. lol Thats what I said the first time i saw him him person. I also agree about having a taller mare for him. I can say this the babies that i have seen from him have great attitudes. My colt is just wonderful to deal with. I just went through my weaning with him and he took it all in stride like a big boy.
