Dixie Union
So Lane's End raised Dixie Unoion's fee to 40k up form 30k. I know he's having a hot month and has an amazing female family backing him (for what its worth its the only female family I bought into from my partners this past Sept 05 sale) but it seems a little steep when he hasnt seperated himself from the pack of his crop in too many ways. Thoughts?

He has always been very commerical as he generally gets a good looking horse. It is a case of supply and demand as his owner (Gerald Ford - Diamond A) supports him well and he is also syndicated.

Sorry about that, to clarify his female offspring. All the fillies I seen were very nice looking, put together well and besides a few minor conformation faults here and there looked good. We looked at several dixie union fillies..just about everyone in the books unless a dam was thrown out from the beginning. Even the smaller ones, were put together pretty decent, but I would say the majority were all decent sized and proportional. Compared to some other stallions that sired offspring that didn't tend to have so many nice looking fillies.
As far as the colts go, they were alright. I would say that the fillies looked better and for the money they were going, I would have bought a filly over a colt.
