Fasliyev

Postby UK Breeder (19) » Thu Nov 10, 2005 12:21 pm

Hi

I was thinking of using Fasliyev.
I've seen many of his foals and have been impressed.

The mare that I was thinking of sending is by Daylami, and this would lead to 3x5 inbreeding to Mr Prospector.

Mill Reef seems to work very well with Nureyev.

Her cousin is the exceptional racemare Alexander Goldrun, who is by a grandson of Nureyev.

The only query I have is that Fasliyev was a speedy 2yr old, and Daylami was a better older horse at 12f +.

Although Nureyev, has sired Oaks winners etc.

Any Thoughts would be appreciated.

UK Breeder, can you tell us the mare's name so we can get a complete picture of the pedigree? Thanks.

And welcome to the forum! :D I'm of Scottish descent myself, and hoping to make the trip there someday.

Nureyev sire of Fasliyev produced superior nicks when bred to mares that traced to the sire line of (Dark Ronald)----(Rabelais)----and (Tourbillon)

Nureyev produced 16 SW out of 43 mares from the sire line of (Rabelais)

Nureyev produced 7 SW out of 21 mares from the sire line of (Tourbillon)

Nureyev only produced 1 SW out of 10 mares for the sire line of (Dark Ronald)

If you can find mares that have a combo of those sire lines to breed to Fasliyev you will be following a successful breeding pattern that was produced by Nureyev.
Those without sin cast the first stone.

I went back to Ireland last year and most of the people I talked to were not impressed with their Fasileyv offspring. I was surprised to hear many having OCD lesions.
