Found him, sorry.

Died at 15.

Anyone got any opinions on his daughters as broodmares? Any statistics yet?

American Chance was IMHO, a very good sire, and I like him for a broodmare sire as well. Although not a big horse, AC was a fast, sound one, and as I recall, was pretty correct. His sire, Cure the Blues, is a very good broodmare sire and crosses well with anything with Somethingroyal/Secretariat. Storm Cat sons and Cure the Blues mares have already produced several stakeswinners, and AP Indy and Cure the Blues have also crossed successfully. If AC follows suit, he should also work with these lines. AC comes from a decent female family, as well. He is an outcross to all of the Northern Dancer, and Mr. P sire lines, and has only a daughter line of Native Dancer. As a sire he has worked with all those lines, and also liked more Turn-to.

I don't think he has enough daughters breeding yet to have compiled much of a BMS record yet, but I would definitely consider him for a broodmare sire.

Thank you very much Cathy... There was a daughter here for sale by a trainer that I liked VERY much for Rocking Trick... fortunately a purchaser was found for the mare who also likes her VERY much for Rocking Trick. The few daughters of his I have seen at auctions have brought quite high prices.

I would have had her in a heartbeat but there is NO ROOM AT THE INN and the cash flow is sort of tight right now.

Hmm . . . I'll have to keep that in mind. So the daughters offered as broodmares were expensive? Not very many are offered at the yearling sales, but I hadn't noticed them selling very well. Interesting. I have a filly (2005 model) from his last crop. Of course, it's a little early to start making breeding plans for her!

Seriously, I do think he will be a good BMS. Hopefully, the filly's buyer will send her to your boy!
