Tracing Montekin

Postby Finnegan » Thu Dec 15, 2005 12:02 pm

Hi - really hope someone can help me! I have an Irish TB gelding called Finnegan. I have recently found out that his sire was Montekin. I have been told his dam was Jingles something.

I am desperate to find out more about him as he is currently not papered and I would simply like to know for interests sake!

He is 11 yrs old and a bay gelding. Anyone who can help me find anything out, it is greatly appreciated!

It's very, very difficult to trace info on unregsitered horses, unless you can do so through previous owners. As for his parents, Montekin is here in the database.

His dam is trickier - the only 'Jingles something' I found that could fit date-wise is a 1989 mare named Jinglers Court. I can't confirm anything, of course....but I can't find any evidence of her having a registered baby in '94, so she remains a suspect.
