Distant View and Prized?

Postby ZiaLand » Fri Jan 27, 2006 1:44 pm

Does anyone have any insights or first hand info on either of these stallions? How have they done at stud, what do they look like, etc. I know next to nothing about either.

PM or email me if you prefer.

Thanks,
Laurie

distant view used to be my favourite horse when he was running as a 3YO. he was truly talented. as a stallion, he can get a top notch horse with a good mare, but his books have declined so much his stats are now pretty poor (around 4% SW). he toes in on his front legs and is medium size around 16h. in general, i like him, he's athletic, but you would probably need a correct mare.
don't know anything about prized

Thanks Morningside. He sounds like a nice sire, although apparently he's fallen out of favor. It's odd I haven't run across this one before.

Distant View has made some very good inroads lately as a broodmare sire. If you got a filly....

Prized has not.
