any opinions on this sire? likes or dislikes?


have a chance to purchase 1/2 of a filly by Five Star Day out of a Gilded Time mare.

He is a fine horse with good conformation and a quality attitude. His first foals sold well. I've not kept up with his progeny to see if they are racing yet.

he's a good looking guy, and his foals look good and sell well too.
i think we'll hear a lot of him this year. sabatini and dance daily are REALLY good...
the breeders that have used him in the last few years are so confident that wintergreen actually raised his fees to 15,000 last year even though his foals hadn't done much on the track (at the time, neither dance daily or sabatini got black type yet).
all in all, i think he's a stallion to watch. cecil seaman sends his clients to a bubble stallion every year after they inspect all the new yearlings, and five star day was their pick last year... (they've been pretty good doing that; they picked yes it's true the year before)

Have a chance to buy 1/2 of a filly by Five Star Day. Filly was nuts when we got her but has since calmed down since being broken. They all love her at the farm where shes being broke.
