Went pretty cheaply today at the F-T Midlantic 2YO sale.

Hip #89, by Fusaichi Pegasus o/o an unraced Seattle Slew mare sold for $4,500.

Laurierace, how come you didn't bid?

That colt sold for 7k(Hip #539)at the Fasig 2YO sale back in May. I guess taking a 2.5K loss right now may be better than spending money trying to get some run outta this horse.

Thanks for the info HR, I hadn't noticed that.

How much you want to bet that he was a buy-back in May? I can't imagine someone buying him for real and then selling him again a month later--even with the prospect of doubling their investment. :wink:

I dont think he was a buy back. I think someone thought they got a great price for a FuPeg and wanted to turn him around for a quick sale. I assume when they took him home they figured he was not worth it and just got rid of him(no reserve price in the sale).
