keeneland vs fasigtipton

Postby brooke » Sun Jul 09, 2006 2:19 pm

just pondering for the future, i dont know if they plan of combining the july and fall sale from now on but if so, would it be better to put a nice conformed but weaker pedigreed horse in fasig tipton verses waiting around at keeneland?
There will be discouraging times. But a life without horses;
Now that's discouraging.

Very generally speaking, the answer is yes.

F-T July is a sale for athletes. Both pinhookers and owners are looking for yearlings that look like they'll be able to run fast and early. You can get by with less pedigree than you would need to get into an early book in Keeneland September.
