It looks like CTBA has put together a nice group of horses for the October yearling sale at Barrett's. I have heard some of the trainers and pinhookers be quite positive about it.
Anyone have any thoughts on the book, after seeing it?

FOr the record, the sale is put on by Barretts--not the CTBA. In exchange for a small percentage of gross receipts, the CTBA agreed not to continue its' Del Mar sale--which was dying a slow death under their management.
Much to its credit, Barretts hired a new inspector this year who is the first real horseman to conduct it's inspections. I expect to see a much better class of yearling this year because of his expertise.
I know that my four yearlings in the sale are among the best I've ever bred. One filly has kind of stalled in her growth, but the others are very robust, athletic and correct.

Correct, Michael,
Barrett's is putting this sale on, thankfully. The inspector did a nice job, it looks like, in balancing pedigree with what reportedly are good individuals. Should be a fun sale. Good luck with yours.
