Ontario Yearling Select sales concluded last night with some pretty dramatic increases on the high end.

22 went for >$100K vs 9 last year. Average up too. There were some more commercial sires in the book this year than in past. I'm sure that helped.

Will be interesting to see how the open session goes. Will likely be similar to years past but an up tick in the open might show a general up tick in the racing game in the area. Poly is getting lots of popular press and air time locally. (Well not that much, but more than the usual...) Maybe that has something to do with it...
