The preview book should be on the web site any day now. The actual catalogue is usually up on the website right before the Saratoga sale (I'm sure that's not a coincidence.) Hard copies of the catalogue usually arrive the third week of August.

I think we might actually buy at Saratoga this year instead of KeeSept. I say that, but lord knows there's too many juicy hips to ignore come September.

KeeSep to me is like a middle eastern bazaar. I don't know which way to look first. I much prefer that to the boutique atmosphere of Saratoga. If all goes as planned, we'll be selling one and buying one in Sept.

I hear you! Its such a massive sale. WE normally pack it up after the first 4 days and then leave an adviser there in case anything "slips" through the cracks.

My sister is dating one of the Nuckols boys and I think they're going to be buying for the first time. I told her be prepared to be shell shocked. At least his dad will be a good asset to have at the sale.

6000 horses! How do you know where to look for that one?

We also like the smaller sales, but lord knows there will be some good ones at Keeneland.

I have friends who look at every single one, 5500+ this year. I'm not that dedicated (and plus I only buy for myself, not other people.) But after reading the books, I make a list. Then I put on my walking shoes and look at about 500 yearlings. That's how I do it. :)

Maven, I hope your sister has good luck!

Thanks guys. IF I decide to buy with Richard it will be in the first two books but I think my sister and Charlie are looking at the later books. To be honest, I find the later books fun to go through. Always some interesting horses.

Is everyone going to be there?
