LOL, I guess I'm the only one who's interested, but the catalogue (hard copy) is out now too.

Well see about Purge... I like the FF. Anything that close to Ruffian works for me, not to mention Bold Ruler and Damascus mares so close. Out of a Stakes winning mare.. I likey.

I like all that - just not the Purge HALF of the pedigree. With a 2/1 Birthday, you may be in deep for this one.

I don't know if I have EVER seen F-T July so weak on the damside.

.... What's wrong with a 2/1 b-day?

Oh, NOTHING. Just likely to be a bigger specimen which might mean a bigger price. It amazes me always that "smaller" horses with the misfortune to have just been born a bit later bring SO much less money. They WILL grow, you know.

On paper hip 4 jumps out at me.

The Speightstown 2yo's sold great this year (and the pinhookers make up a huge portion of the yearling buyers at this sale) and he's a half to G.1 winner On A Soapbox who is herself the dam of a group SW in Europe.

The European group SW in the family doesn't hurt, nor the fact that Speightstown's fist winner came in Europe (and that one is a 12-1 choice in tomorrow's G.2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot), as pinhookers would love to have something that could appeal to Coolmore and Darley for European racing as well as American buyers or Coolmore and Darley for American racing.

He RNA'd for 75k as a weanling but as an April 26th foal he could be a lot more appeaing as a July yearling (who knows though - can't tell from looking at a catalog page).

I'm watching. The prices I've seen have been good; but I'm not glued to the screen.
I've seen $110K to 225K so far.

It's looking pretty strong, to me, for a Fasig-Tipton sale. I see clh's Medallist colt, which she sold at KEENOV '07 for $10K, got $225K for his pinhooker.

And he looked spectacular Madelyn!! He really did shine. The Lion Heart/African Skyline filly didn't sell at $60K which is what we sold her for. She wasn't prepped well (in my opinion) and the guys walking and showing her looked like 4H kids. Am anxious to see how Honor's Even the Score does tomorrow - he has grown a bit and didn't look so long in the back like he did last year ;)

Too bad I sold Anna K. - she sure does throw pretty babies. I hope her owners are following these sales.

Kenny bought me two today: Hip 65 a Consolidator colt, and Hip 74, an Action This Day filly.
