FT Catalog For Eastern Fall Yearlings are Online

Postby KMO_racing » Sat Aug 23, 2008 1:13 pm

We have hip numbers 7 and 533 in the FT Sept 29, 30 & 1 of Oct sale.

Hope we do well. I don't like being so early in the sale hip 7..

:) Hip #533 is named Breezy Cafe she is 15.2, great conformation, solid pedigree and a wonderful disposition. She is a flashy critter.

:) Hip #7 is named Misty Gold she is very correct, good sized and a bit of storm cat attitude.... Her sister is with Steve Assmusen now she is a two year old ran 3 times MSW she 4, 3 and last time second... She needs to win before the sale. In my opinion I believe the sire Roar of The Tiger is going to be ok I hope.

Here is the link for catalog :

I too am selling here (just one) but am not looking forward to it. This slice of the market is just so weak right now....

Ft Sale

Postby KMO_racing » Sat Aug 23, 2008 3:44 pm

I agree the market is a bit soft, however I still believe a good horse will bring a fair amount, unless the sale is over populated from that sire. Look at the Wildcat Heir, Omega Codes & Roars in Fl the number of them was way too many.. at the end they were RNA most of them.

What hip number do you have in the FT sale? Good luck.
Thanks,

Kathy

Fanlew and ct2346 - Good luck!

I have Hip #163 and he is one of 16 colts, 15 fillies, and one gelding by Domestic Dispute so that is a LOT of horses to compete with and I hope it doesn't dilute the chances.

Sounds like the slots & LA-breds helped spark the TX sale. Here's hoping the slots & PA-breds help the MidAtlantic sale . . .

I was talking with an agent who has a number of Pa.breds in this sale and he said just because they're Pa.breds doesn't mean anything ... you still need a good-sized yearling with a lot of pedigree to get a decent price. Thinks the RNA rate will be around 40 percent, unfortunately.

I agree. But a good horse will always sell in a fair good market. You still have to feed them, raise them, sale prep them and hope for the best. Still need descent catalog pages but they are a sought after group, conformation and luck. if it all comes together you win.
Thanks,

Kathy
