psidio,

I'll try to go see Hip #219 and give you my observations. If I can get a good shot with my cell phone, I'll try to send a picture (warning: I am a total technology neanderthal so it may not work). I am hoping the weather clears up.

I can assist with the tech part, but I have to snap pix with my camera and then upload them. I had boatloads of fun with my phone snapping and sending pics until my filly decided to chomp on my phone cracking the lense so all pictures really come out crappy.

Please please weather be nice!!! :)

I just talked to my husband who's still at Timonium with the fillies . . .

He says it's pouring down rain.

Sigh

I didn't get to see any horses today. The rain had cleared from my house which is about 1 hour away from the sales grounds at Timonium so I left the house without a raincoat. By the time I pulled into the parking lot it was a torrential downpour. I sat in my truck for two hours waiting for it to let up and then said to hell with it and drove home. I can't remember seeing that much (and hard) rain in a long time. I might try again tomorrow otherwise I'll just wait until Monday which is supposed to be better. Sorry for those waiting to hear from me.

I'm heading there tomorrow afternoon to check out the ones that I want to see. I'm ONLY looking at the first day- had to limit myself somehow.

Cool. Drop by Barn F [I think], stalls 2 & 3 . . . ours both go the first day [and if you don't like 'em, stop by, anyhow!]. We're Hidden Echo Farm & have a couple fillies selling on Monday.

Merse - we were there . . . what a lousy day today!

I'd left my rain gear at home, too. I was about 1 1/2 hours from home & a half hour from Timonium when I looked into the back seat & said, "Where's my raincoat?????"

I came home soaked [and probably none the wiser].

Buyers' market so far... (aka a blood bath from the sellers' perspective)

But I wasn't terribly impressed with the horses overall, so there a combination of factors at work here.
