Be careful.... the last time I did that I came home with two new horses  It is going to be a great place for buyers. I am afraid to go because I really don't need any more horses at the moment.

It's hard to keep your hand down when something catches your eye. I think there will be some good buys this time. It's a good chance to meet people and put faces with names and talk horse even if I'm not buying. After 10 years I've learned that I have a lot to learn. :D

Last I looked, the weather should be nice. Sure beats being at the office.

Hope there is a decent turnout. I don't dare go as my hands always seem to have a mind of their own when I see a pretty mare come thru the ring. Besides, I'm not planning on breeding most of the five broodmares I've already got unless I ship to KY. The Tx market is looking even weaker than usual to me. Good luck to all who are going.

I watched much of it on my computer. Thank goodness that is the last sale of the year. It was sad to watch. A lot of people went to considerable trouble and expense to not sell their horses. Of course it must have been a great day for the few buyers.

It was sad. Hopefully Texas can wake up and see what happened in NJ. I watched that program fall apart because of greed and lack of planning. We need slots here right now. There is no reason to buy or breed or race in this State. People need to get their heads out of the sand.

Everyone in Texas that cares needs to really get behind the legislative effort this year. The new HORSE coalition and the support of the Farm Bureau may give us some slim hope of some help. The situation at the moment is grim, with more folks disbursing their stock, than striving to grown and improve. I can only take heart in the knowledge that there are going to be far fewer Texas breds to run against in the next couple of years. It is very sad.
