Anyone have the results? Anyone here who went?

I was stuck here without a car - which was fine because I had a horse buyer turn up this afternoon.

I guess you could say there were bargains. Basically like all the other sales. No one has much money to invest.

Whoa. I'm glad I couldn't go because I don't have room for all the bargains I would not have been able to pass up. It's unfathomable. IN-bred yearlings with nice pedigrees for under $1K. Whoa.

A winning daughter of Seattle Slew out of a daughter of Northern Dancer & from the family of Secretariat, a mare who has produced 2 winners from 3 foals.

Nice. She went through Keeneland January open in 2004 for $50,000. Sounds like either prior owners didn't breed every year, or there might need to be some attention to detail and/or a little luck to get her in foal & keep her in foal.

A big operation might not have the time or sense of humor, but at $1700, I'd have taken the chance, too!

You know, I have been to that ITOBA sale (not this year, but last year) and there is just No Explanation, except for the dearth of buyers who attend. There are some awfully good horses there for peanuts. That Seattle Slew mare is easily worth 10 times what she went through the ring for.
