we got 2 ok spots for our Lawyer Ron and Street Boss, 2 cataloged last day so we scratched them.. first two catalogs will make and break the sale numbers. November shaped up better for consignment, but still slow. Couldnt believe on 3,400 for the Sept sale.. numbers way down from last year.

3,400??? That's all?

Our spots are kind of okay too. We have a Street Boss in bk2, a Sky Mesa and a Grand Slam in bk3, and a Hard Spun and a FuPeg in bk4.

3400? Where did they all go? Foal crop wasn't down that much was it?

Good luck to all selling and buying. We'll be buying a filly.

Although, coincidentally, I was on the phone with my consignor for November and picked our books for the three we're offering. Can't believe today was the deadline! Ah!

LB, would love to exchange pics of our "Bosses" to get an idea of how the others look if you'd be interested.

3,419 was what I believe the shipping paperwork said. We scratched 2, and I know of about 60 others that have been scratched. So I guess no one is wasting their time or money playing the keeneland placement games.

I'm just amazed by the low number. I had heard 4,400 but that was about 6 weeks ago--and I know that our consignor also scratched some that landed in the really wrong book.

I'm happy to compare Bosses, but at the moment I don't have anything resembling a decent yearling photo. I'm happy to describe him though and show you Jan/Feb pix. PM me if you're interested. :)

It might be time for a format shake up at Keeneland. I think the lower numbers reflect the shrinking supply, but also perhaps sellers are being far more discriminating in what they send - or they are just tired of taking it on the chin and not recovering stud fee if they are not in the "front" of the sale. They can't possibly stretch out 3400 horses over two weeks - it is more like seven days? It has been a buyers' market for far too long. The July Fasig Tipton sale reflected the very same thing - 303 horses and a one day sale vs a much bigger event in the past.

I have four yearlings we are prepping and pointing to Fasig-Tipton October - I hope this "limited supply" trend continues.

Book 1 has 211 hips, which will be sold over 2 nights. Book 2 goes from hip 212 to 1146, sold over 3 days (310 per day). The first Friday is a dark day. Book 3 begins with hip 1147 on the 6th day of the sale, and then they get into what was previously their normal schedule, selling about 425 hips a day until they reach the end. So it will be a two week sale.

4319 (My bad) since I re checked my sales stuff.. Sorry about that.. I still know of 50+ scratches already..

LB, I dont have any recent photos either. Our Boss is small, but shes a tank. The Lawyer Ron looks way better IMO.

Our Street Boss is big enough (not huge) and solid. Very good bone and angles. He moves like an athlete. The most recent picture I have is from Jan. He was 11 months old and playing in the snow with his buddies. :)

He looks like a solid guy LB! Good luck with him :)

I have a couple selling here at the CTHS ont sale and I get the impression not too many PQ'ers care too much about it, lol. I will try and get a pic of the Sharp Humor colt I am prepping - he is very nice.
From the farm we are sending two to KY - a Pulpit in book 2 and a Heatseeker in book 4 (I think  ).
