Anyone Going to Sort Through the Flying Zee dispersal Mon?

Postby Terrapin Flyer » Sat Dec 03, 2011 7:22 pm

My stalls are all filled up, but I can never pass up a good deal (the pony might have to find himself a new barn to live in). I'm curious to see how many more people (if any) head out to Timonium given the big lot thats going to be dispearsed.

I might, but just to look - I CLEARLY need to downsize, not add anything (especially when even the pasture on the top of the hill is knee-deep in mud).

I hear the consignors are happy with attendance so far.
They are seeing buyers that they don't normally see at the December Midlantic Mixed sale- no doubt because of the Flying Zee dispersal.

the final phase a little later this month, has a couple of mares with really nice pedigrees. Can't imagine they'll go for much...

I was on the Highcliff website looking at Congaree and noticed that there are still a handful of broodmares/prospects available. The last sale was january 21st and the opening bid wsa $500 so these must be the "left overs".

Looking at the list, does anyone stand out to take a chance on? I want to breed a mare to Congaree this year and instead of shipping one in, I could get one the these since they are already there.

Thoughts? Here a link to the list http://www.highcliff.com/horses-for-sale.shtml

If anyone is looking for a sport horse broodmare, Miss Kuruklata has a lovely pedigree for that. So does Frau Louise.
