2012 Saratoga August Yearling Sale

Postby Heidilady » Tue Aug 07, 2012 4:46 pm

Hey madelyn, did you see the first filly on day 2? By Malibu Moon out of Song Cat. Her dam is half to Rocking Trick. I got all excited. ;) Went for $200,000.

That $900,000 Dynaformer filly was gorgeous. I was pouting that I didn't have $1 mil to drop on a racehorse. Of course, I pout that I don't have $1 mil, period. Gotta figure out a way to monetize talking nonsense on Twitter.

ETA: Fun fact, it's 2012, not 2010. Fixed the thread title. Sorry, I forgot I traveled back in time earlier and now I've come back home.

ETA again: Oh for the love of Secretariat. It's August, not September. Sorry, long day. I just sat through 3+ hours of horse auction on the internets. My brain's a tad fried.

If I'd looked ahead, I could've warned you to watch. It was too late by the time I realized. You can see her walking on a video here: http://www.fasigtipton.com/ci/catalogue ... -Yearlings She's hip #95. Check out some of the others. There are some real jawdroppers. The Wait A While filly went for $1.575 mil.
