For the life of me I dont understand why the Washington Breeders continue to award Black Type to stakes races under $50,000 in added value. They are probably the last sales company in America to adhere to the old method of giving that status to races with values of only a few thousand dollars.

This practice ruins the credibility of the catalog. Newer buyers who learn later that their purchases dont retain the black type in later sales catalogs have a valid reason to sue the WTBOA for misrepresentation.
