I watched a few dozen horses sell via internet and prices did not seem strong. As usual, the Bertrando's sold well, and a half-sister to BROTHER DEREK brought $75,000, but not much else.
Will be interesting to review prices on Wednesday when they are posted on-line.

I thought the sale was really strong for what they were selling. I saw Southern Images sell for $20,000 and over off a fee of $2500, Tribal Rules for $50,000 and $60,000 from a fee of $6500, Stormin Fevers for $20-30,000, and a Storm Wolf for $38,000. The Kentucky breds were mostly culls but a Rock Hard Ten which RNA'd at the July sale sold here for $50,000.
Overall a really good sale.

Does it indicate an upswing in prices for the future do you think?
I think some pf it is a conscious effort to prop up the Calbred breeding industry with $250K juvenile races at CalCup and that new Golden State series. There is a perception right now that there are so few Calbreds right now that a decent one stands to make a boatload of money.
That could be an entirely temporary situation though.
