"Here is an interesting common thread among 4 of the derby entries. It appears Mr Zayat and the Ramsey's both use EQB bloodstock agents and from the entrants they seem to know what they are doing.

I also think they were involved with having Mr Z buy back his home bred that he put in the Saratoga yearling sale, American Pharoah.

American Pharoah, Mr. Z, El Kabeir, for Zayat Stables and International Star for client Ken and Sarah Ramsey.

David Ingordo was the adviser in the case of American Pharoah. EQB performs heart scans as well as selecting horses, so while they may have had a hand in these horses, they may not have been the only agent involved.

Yes probably since AP was a homebred there was more than one agent giving advice.

From their website, EQB is involved in a lot more than heart scans. Fatigue curves, gait analysis, cardiovascular analysis, conformation etc. They have some interesting studies that were published.
If they are signing the ticket for these guys I am sure they are heavily involved in culling and sales selection. Mr Z and the Ramsey's are at the top of the game and would not entertain a fly by night operation and EQB has been involved with both parties for a while.
