With a yearling, there are so many things that can turn the perfect into an RNA. I know there are some basics that everyone would consider essential - but not everyone's essentials are the same --- So which of these might you tend to overlook, if the rest of the package was right

- pedigree sire
- pedigree dam side
- size
- conformation - balance
- conformation - front
- conformation - behind
- conformation - head/neck
- walk
- vet report issues
- less than ideal feet (small, white)
- small/unknown consignor, or owner
- less than nicely turned out
- other

Just curious as to what are the negotiables and what are non-negotiables.

For me, all in order of importance, unimportant things:

#1 grooming/turn out
#2 size they grow
#3 minor front leg issue (turned out) will likely correct with training and growth
#4 certain things on x-rays like lucencies

Important

#1 overall conformation
#2 dam and her family
#3 sire
