Anyone have any 2yo's they're watching in this sale? I may go up to browse Monday.

Hope you had fun "shopping". I did not attend since I knew the prices would be out of my range for any decent horse. I may go to the June sale. I would like to get a 2YO to race at Remington Park this year.

Congratulations on the new purchase! It looked like a great sale. Where do you plan to race your colt?

Congrats on your new purchase.

I did not go to the sale to actually see your hip #63. So I am just going off on the peidgree, first dam info and the very good 10.4 work at that slow track. So he does have some talent.

His pedigree and family history does not strike me as a horse that would be ready to run as a 2YO. Alrunco(first dame) did not win until she was 4. The only winner by Alrunco was Graylee Rose(a full sister to your colt) who won as a 3YO in MCL 8K level race at Golden Gate. His full brother, Mago, raced twice in 2004 as a 2YO with no success. He was trained by Todd Pletcher. So I would have to assume Mago got the best in terms of prepartion to race as a 2YO for Pletcher or maybe he did not fit the type of training Pletcher gave him. Nevertheless, he has not raced since last summer.

If I bought hip #63, he would not make his debut until 2006. Off course, since I think it will be to his disadvantage to race as a 2YO, the first race you put him out there as a 2YO, he would run off and win by 10 lengths.

Good Luck with him and let me know when/where you plan on racing him.

Pete informed me that the Grand Slam/Vivalita colt #14, that is half-brother to my Vivid Dreams, sold for $150K to Dogwood Stable. That'll be fun to watch for.

Elusive Quality colt ex Wreath of Truth #38, RNAed for $115K. My mare Reigning Glory is a younger half-sis to Wr. of Truth.

Spanish Guitar's dam's full sister Hand Me a Star's colt by Not for Love was an out, #287.

I hope some day I'll be able to breed to such nice sires for my ladies.

Pete said the prices were sky high. He purchased some horses there on behalf of clients.
