If someone had time to look at the obssales.com site, I'd be curious to see some photo examples of what is considered "good-looking" yearlings (based on what seems to be selling)...
Many physical faults seem to be discounted if the size and mass are there. Sadly, I believe that the small breeder may be faced with using steroids if they want to compete in the sales market.

well I guess the questions is...what is the going size for a sales yrlg?
I currently have a yrlg by our stallion out of a 16h ish mare. Yrlg is 16h (just shy to be honest) and tapes at 1150#. She was a first foal for her dam and was born in late March. Yes at that weight shes a tank! Very big boned and a ton of mass not fat. She profiles like a 2 y/o good easy mover and very attractive. I only hope my Freud baby from this dam is equally as nice
