Keeneland Breeding Stock

Postby madelyn » Thu Nov 10, 2005 10:59 am

I was very uplifted to see hip #404 on day two sell for $170K in foal to Medaglia d'Oro ($35K stud fee)... the mare is very similar to my mare, Overnight Deposit, whose female family produced Lord Carson.

Of course my mare isn't in foal to Medaglia d'Oro, she is in foal to our own Bad Boy Atta.. but still, it gives one hope...

There were two Boston Harbor mares, $310,000 and $600,000 ($250K and $475K after stud fees) who don't look as good on paper as my mare, Express to Boston...

And some Distant Views, like my mares Carmel Ridge and Scenery....

ETB and Scenery are ladies in waiting for '06 and Carmel Ridge is in foal to Rocking Trick...
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

So far I've been pleased with the Kafwain's who are selling consistently well for the stud fee and I was excited to see a weanling from Austique's female family go for $250,000.
