Hunt, #2071 went for $12,000. I bid to 7, 8 was my preset limit. Thought about going to 9, then she was over 10 before I made up my mind. Just wasn't sure about the Malabar Gold on a bubble year.

Re Solvig, the book on her is that she was a beautiful individual. When they are that young, it isn't always about what they are carrying but what their potential is. And I agree with you Pete, i saw they were breeding to Alex and I groaned. That's the kind of mare that should go to a proven sire until she is proven and then you try the unprovens.
