Brooke, when I was at the NM Horse Breeders office the other day there were several people getting their mares approved to go to the Heritage Sale (NM requires approval for a mare to leave the state while in foal to still have the foal qualify as a NM bred), so if you go keep an eye out for the NM breds.

I reviewed the catalog and thought it was weak for TB. That said Valid Expectations full sister is in the sale.

there are a few NM breds in that i noticed, double LL seems to be helping some people liquidate. I just dont know if these (not all NM breds) NM breds would be competitive anywhere else, they seem to come from a long line of horses who have only raced in NM. Interesting cape canaveral filly though.

Heritage is typically weak for TB at anytime and isn't really worth a long trip IMHO. I believe that full sister to Valid Expectations just went through Fasig Tipton TX, so she may have some issues.

the Alphabet soup colt looked so of, very sway back to me, but sold for 13,500
out of pitty for the little guy, i bought the cape canaveral x Forest fealty colt! his conformation is so poor i was afraid he would go to the killer, eventually. so i took him to a good home, run or no run he will be loved.

I saw your colt, and I was a little puzzled by him, but best of luck. What did you give for him? (if you dont mind me asking, I left a little early that last day) That alphabet soup colt was a buy back, the guy said he didn't think there was a live bid at all for him, My impression of him was that he was just small as he was a late baby- but he told me in advance he was not going to go for less than 13K which was more than I was willing to pay for him. He was the same guy that had all of those Monarch's maze babies.

Did you see that Honour and Glory colt that sold for 10,500? If so, what did you think of him?

I received the catalogue in the mail and didn't find much of interest. The sister to VE had had several foals but nothing of quality that I remember. I dont' have the catalogue available right now. The one mare I thought interesting was a young Slewacide mare that had a June cover date. If I remember right she was stakes placed. Anyone remember seeing her?

Aurora,

Hip 917 Evasive Prospect (97 M)
Slewacide-Annettas Prospect (Legal Eagle)

She was Stakes placed, if this is the one you are talking about....she was withdrawn.
