Creating a star...Hip 199 at FT Calder
I am looking at her pictures on the consignors website, and she looks back at the knee, and bow legged up front. Of course, the last time I posted about a horse's "bad" conformation, he became a graded stakes placed runner...so, any comments?
I haven't seen the filly in question but, in my experience, good conformation is more of a predictor of how sound a horse is likely to remain rather than of how much racing ability it will possess. For what it's worth, she worked an eighth in 10 3/5 at the first under tack show, a perfectly decent time.
If you look at the white leg on the front you will see its off colored with skin tone showing under the white. My guess would be that he's been blistered which requires the legs be shaved simply by the color of the skin and thats why no close-ups of the legs. It could be that he's been shaved to be sweated as well.
