The vets put him down today.

The general conclusion was that while hooning around the paddock with his mate he took a tumble and wacked his head causing brain damage. There was some misalignment in the verterbrae near his head according to the vet who put him down.
In the long run he may have become more mobile but there wasn't any future for him so the owner made the decision to put him down.

I"m thanking our lucky stars it wasn't our one. Very sad though.

Sorry, Emma, but I'm sure that was the best choice for the colt, and the owner also.

Yep after watching him for a week was the right decision. He had improved marginally but what is there for a yearling colt of average breeding to do if it can't walk.
He had numerous cuts and abrasions from continually falling over so was really the only thing to do.
