My horses love the Equine Chiropractor! My trainer regularly uses stretching and massage techniques, they like that too.
I think anything that brings us into positive contact with our horses, and relieves discomfort or stress for them, is worth using.

I use a guy who is just winderful. Harry "Speedie" Graham from western Pa...he is just awesome. My cranker, cankera$$ 3 yr olf filly was puddy in his hands. Her attitude has mbeen much improved and her gaits are as well. Shes back to swinging freely from the hindend and just stoking the trot! Since shes coming off of a two tendon injuries (both front legs) shes not up to canter or gallop work just yet. A few more weeks to go before that happens. But the few months of being sore on her front end has really put a hitch in her get along.

Theres another lady near Mountaaineer Park who is really good as well...she uses deep muscle massage. Has helped our one filly a lot this summer.

I have also added a few new GIZMOS to my aresenal of therapy goodies. Buying my ZAMAR was the single best thing I have ever done for my horses and myself. Think of a ZAMAR as a Gameready on STERIODS! no ice, no water no mess. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! Also have added an ultrasound for therapy application...love it too!

My filly gets a deep tissue massage every two weeks during the racing season. We have definitely noticed a difference in her limberness and comfort level as a result of the massages. Our therapist also uses essential oils in conjunction with massages.

If anyone needs an exceptional massage therapist in the Chicago northwest suburbs, please let me know--I'd be happy to share!!

My vet uses holistic treatments whenever possible. He recommended KAM products for ulcer preventative and an immune system booster (TF Formula) and we're very happy with the results. My filly keeps her weight up very nicely and seems to avoid the "snotty nose" respiratory crud that goes through the barn from time to time.

A friend of mine uses cranial sacral therapy for her quarter horse and she sings its praises! She feels that it helps her horse physically and emotionally (he's a former trauma/abuse case).

Thanks so much for the info - especially regarding your friends horse. Since my girl was abused, it sounds like it might help. She's gotten so strong and actually wants to run, she just starts going into almost a pacing or trotting stride from time to time.
