I think this article is also interesting with regards to horses with arthritis or preventing arthritis in horses:

This is no article, its a book! Just scanning through, it seems very interesting. Have you gotten any practical info from this book? I have a 2yo filly with an ankle injury that has some authritis so I'm interesed in anything that may increase her chances to race.

In our country there is but I am not sure about the USA. But I think that as we have such supplements they must also be available in the USA.

Glucosamine Chondritin w/ MSM, it really does work, comes in a powder to top dress feed. We did a study and it does repair dammage. I'm on it for my hands, they move much better and are much less painful.

The Joint Health product put out by Springtime Feeds is the best bang for the buck. It also works. We have had Basket Weave, 27 years old this year, on it. He is in fabulous condition, his arthritis is at bay. Acts like he is 12. I recommend it highly. We have had our race horses on it too.
