Gelding A Horse In Training

How long, after gelding, can a horse go back to training?? A friend has a 2 year old at the track he is thinking of castrating.

Call us cruel, but mine only get one day off. It is better for them to keep jogging. No galloping for a week or so, it keeps everything draining and the swelling to a minimum. It is hard this time of year with the bugs.

I agree- they need to be kept moving. Jogging is actually really good for a newly castrated horse.
