Dandelions and horses?

Postby Roger » Fri Apr 03, 2009 10:16 am

Whats in dandelions that make horses love them so, is there any real value in gathering them and feeding them to horses other than they love them?

Hi Roger

I know for sure it's a natural remedy for anemia and bleeding through the nose in humans, it strengthens the blood vessels.

Dandelions make a tasty spring salad when mixed with oil & vinegar!

Dandelion is a great diuretic which enables kidney health, same as milk thistle does for the liver. I sometimes pull dandelion roots up and dry them out in an oven slowly then grind them into a powder. This powder is great as a coffee substitute, wonderful flavor and aroma.
