Griff, I use agricultural lime on suspected proud flesh formation. I have it on hand for my stalls so it's convenient. It is also the main ingredient in Wonder Dust (71% of Wonder Dust is hydrated lime). You can buy WD at Drs Foster & Smith at http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... 9575000000

I have not had experience with equiade.

In the past, we used Lacerum with good success. We also used a silver mesh material that also worked well.

I have a 17 hh Civilisation gelding I'm going to put back in training next month and and race him up there later this spring.. While I'm up there I'd like to meet and talk a while.

Absolutely!

I love to meet "virtual friends" in real life, to put a face with the name. My email and phone # are listed in my signature, feel free to give me a shout when you come up this way. My stalls are in barn I ("eye"), on the river side. ;)

I've heard that wind off the river is very cold and bitter this time of year..

How many horses do you have racing or in training at the track ?

I have used it and it works great. I use Shreiner's to treat wounds and it keeps proud flesh from forming almost every time.

I meant to say I have used Equiade and it worked great. I use Shreiner's on an every wound basis now and it keeps proud flesh from being a problem.

Just bought Equaide last week for a filly that I got with a fence wound. I LOVE the stuff. Takes care of all the proud flesh, it works wonders. You only need to use a small amount on the wound. You don't need to gob it on. This is a pic the day the filly arrived at my farm. By the time I am done with the smallest jar of equaide the wound will be a tiny scar if at all.

Derby Lyn

Thank you for posting your horses injury and the Equaide testimonial..

I went to www.equaode.com to order some ofnthestuff and found many similar before and after cases to view which left no question in my mind and I placed an order for two jars..

Actually, you might consider allowing Equaide to post your before and after treatment pictures.

I love the stuff! It worked wonders on an especially bad case of proud flesh. Now I use nothing else.
