Where to get the best price. Have a mare with Heaves that need to be on it to ride. Gives her a great deal of relief but oh costly!

You'll need a prescription from your vet. Its likely the vet will match the price anyway.

Get your vet to get you the comounded clenbuterol. Way cheaper, higher concentration so you can use less. There is a pharmacy in Cali, Optimum that will ship direct to you. Your vet just has to send in the prescription.
Pretty sure you won't find it anywhere legally without a vet prescription.

As I recall, the compounded clenbuterol isn't exactly legal in the U.S.

I think there were several horse deaths attributed to its use in the last few years...the problem being controlling the concentration of the actual clenbuterol in the mixture.

Brogan, I wasn't aware of that. We used to get the compounded stuff from Summit all the time through our vet...usually if it's illegal in the US, Canada jumps on the bandwagon and follows suit. Is a recent change?

This story makes reference to the horse deaths and states the less than legal status of compounded clenbuterol:

Then there is this from the FDA, originally published in 2002, but updated October 2009:

Brogan, thanks for the links...I had no idea. I am pretty sure it's still available here compounded, last bottle I got was in 2009...vet prescribed.
Scary, think I will be tossing whatever is left of it.
