Here is a story about the amazing recovery of Thorn Song. There is great promise here I believe.

When stem cell treatments become more common, I think that a lot of horses will make these kinds of recoveries and some may race again.

The major break through with the ACell company products is that the substance "calls" to the existing stem cells in the animal or human. No need to draw blood, separate, culture and then return lab grown stem cells to the patient. Minimal chance of lab contamination as the bandage is applied directly to the wound, or to the site of the damage.
