Once a horse has osselets, is there anyway to get rid of the ankle jewelry?

No. It is essentially extra bone by the time they are set. You can sweat out any residual swelling but that is about it.

FWIW, I have the human equivalent of osselets in one foot. My ortho doctor told me the only way I was getting rid of them is if he took them out surgically.
